PRO-BERNIE -- THIS'LL MAKE YOU MAD --

I love Bernie. This country needs him like a drowning man needs a pair of water wings. What the DNC did to sink him in 2016 left us with a walking cancer for a president and, evidently, they're trying to do it again.

Establishment Dems are every bit as corrupt and selfish as the Repubs. I wasn't sold on Buttigieg either, now, no way would I vote for him seeing as he's just another DNC approved stooge.

"Bernie Sanders because hindsight is 2020."

It appears as though Dem establishment money is falling behind Mayor Pete

It figures, all the same people who supported the corrupt Hillary and the equally corrupt, lying fraud Obama, both corporate Dems, would be behind Pete, so even more reason for progressives to distrust Pete. They'll probably succeed in screwing Bernie again, with the help of the corporate media as well, from getting the nomination and Trump will win, which is what the Dem leaders and their big money and corporate donors really want. Which is why I never feel bad for them or their centrist supporters when they lose to the Repubs in a prez election. Because they get what they really deserve and were asking for.

He sunk himself. He couldn't get black voters. lf you are a Dem and don't get the black voters support, you won't win. Don't forget, he is not a Democrat. He is a registered Independent. I like Bernie, but he fucked himself, and I will vote for which ever person gets the nomination.

Sticks I really like and respect you man, but I have to disagree with you on this one. Here's why:
Yes, I totally agree that a candidate for the Dem nomination has to have about all the support from black voters in the primaries to win the nomination and Bernie didn't have that, tho he did have the support of a lot of black women in the nursing unions because of his support for single payer health care. But it wasn't his fault or anything he did that cost him the support of most blacks for the nomination. It was the fact that he was running against Bill Clinton's wife, who most blacks were going to support instead of him no matter what Bernie did, out of longtime loyalty to Bill, who was always very popular with blacks, had many blacks serve in his administration, and many personal friends who are black. Their group loyalty and support was transferred to Hillary, that simple. As I remember it, back when Bill was prez, he was seen by many blacks as the unofficial "first black president".

@TomMcGiverin I agree with you about the Clinton's popularity in the Black community, but Bernie didn't really go after them, something he is working to correct this time around, according to his own people. Like I said, I really like Bernie. I would have no problem with Bernie as our President. 🙂

@Sticks48 Sticks I honestly don't think going after them more or differently would have helped Bernie or made any diff in 2016 with most black voters. Their group loyalty to Bill was too strong and they were going to support Hillary no matter what over Bernie because she was married to Bill, even tho I think that whole relationship is a fraud/charade based on convenience and political ambition, but that's another discussion...I really hope Bernie succeeds this time, but I'm a born cynic and I also wouldn't be surprised if Bernie suffered a convenient heart attack (with some help from the powers that be) if he did get the nomination, got close to the general election, or won the general election. Also, after seeing what happened to Mel Carnahan and Paul Wellstone, I would advise Bernie to start staying away from small aircraft. Call me paranoid, but I have seen too much history of what happens to people who buck the status quo too much and piss off the wrong evil people, like Cheney, for example....

@TomMcGiverin We will never know if it would have had any effect, and I am not saying for fact it would have, but they are not making that mistake this time. If he gets the nomination, l think he will be fine. If the evil empire people were going to get rid of someone, Trump would have been taken out. He was not one of theirs. Other than Cruz, the Republican establishment would have preferred any of Trump's primary opponents. IMHO

@Sticks48 I hope you are right about Bernie not being taken out, but I won't hold my breath if he gets too close to power. I agree with you about the Repub estab. wanting anyone but Cruz or Trump for the nomination last time.

Mayor Pete is the same old BS of the Dem establishment, namely pushing candidates and policies that are all about identity politics and no progressive policies on economic fronts or on inequality. So Pete is a religious gay man, big deal. I'm not surprised, in fact, I've been telling people for the last two years that after Hillary, what else would the Dem establishment have left to try to distract us with identity politics candidates? I said it would be a gay male Hispanic. I wasn't that far off......

Guess you don't have to be paranoid when they really are out to get you.....It really is this simple, if the Dems nominate Bernie, he will beat Trump, unless the Dem leaders sandbag him the way they did McGovern by not supporting him in the general election of 1972. If the Dems instead nominate a centrist candidate instead of Bernie, they will lose. Their choice in nominee will tell you everything you need to know about the priorities of the party leaders, whether it's preventing progressive candidates and policies, or whether it's instead about winning prez elections. I already know it's about the former, it's just that this time the corruption will be so clear if they screw Bernie again that nobody will be fooled about what happened...
