SAD SAD SAD ... DEMOCRATS HAVE LOST THE WAR

I have been reading the news and I am very sad. Trump and the Republicans have destroyed democrats and progressives with their maneuvering of the Mueller Report. College Text Books will be written on how to turn tables on opponents after emerging from deep down in a black hole.

I am really embarrassed about democrats who have just been meek and have no new war strategies.

I don't remember if Democrats fought Republicans this tooth and nail in Bill Clinton's investigation by Kenneth Starr.

We need bold, aggressive and fighter democrats. Enough of this old wood, good for nothing.

Have y'all like ... not looked at the report? Pretty clear cut for the Senate to go forward if it chooses to.

I mean, it essentially says, the President tried to collude with Russia but largely failed because people around him didn't do what he wanted. It paints a pretty clear obstruction picture, and then says it's up to Congress.

And all that is in what's not been redacted. I've looked. I've read a lot of it.

Trump himself said "he's fucked" on the Mueller report.

Edit:

IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT, PLEASE READ THE REPORT. There are already many fake links to false reports and malware and other nonsense. Here's a link directly from the Associated Press sent to newsrooms:

Ohferpetessake

  1. 4-page summary by a biased person, of a Huge report. Whaddya think he left out?
  2. Then the relevant parts get blacked out ("redacted" ), because, nothing to see here folks.
  3. You are a fathead.

College text books have already been written on all of those subjects, and are available at thousands of dollars per book. Time moves forward. Sometimes evil wins, sometimes good wins, but most of the time evil and good are forced to work together side-by-side. The trick is to try to mitigate the effects of those who do evil. It's a marathon, not a sprint, and there's going to be a lot of tussling going on.

Guns winning, women's rights not winning, religion protruding into out lives winning, starting wars to fund defense industries winning, nepotism in the White House winning, emoluments violations winning, ethics violations winning.... it is too much to take

I think that is premature. Barr said Trump and his people did not participate in illegal acts, with Russia, which is different from sayign they did nto participate in any acts with Russia to swing the election.

In the obstruction section Mueller outlined ten possible violations. He just left it up to the AG to decide if they merited charges or not. In at least one instance, Trump told his aids to take actions which would have clearly have been obstruction of justice, but the aides just ignored him and did nothing. That made the case pretty muddy legally.

Mueller is expected to testify befor congress next month.

It's nto over. The redacted report was just released only an hour ago. Congress is supposed to get a much less redacted version later tonight.

No not really but nice try.🤣

Are you kidding? This just opens the door for the House to further investigate. They have been shown the paths to follow and the folks to subpoena.

Any more investigations now will just turn people off. Trump has already started asking for people sympathy for Presidential Harassment. This will be a perfect recipe to just hand over victory to Trump in 2020. We already have had the unsuccessful hatred, animosity for 2 years and even moderates are getting turned off. There are hundreds of more issues worth fighting for like gun control We do not send representatives to Washington DC for revenge. We send them to do people's work. All of that is on hold. I do not want the remaining years in my generation to be wasted in the career fights of politicians.

@Tiramisu It really doesn't really matter what you want. It is going to continue. This report is the beginning, not the end.

@Sticks48 oops, We the People is dead, I forgot.

@Tiramisu The Congress is the representative of the people. If they stop investigations, they would not be doing their job.

@Tiramisu not "turning me off", not at all......

@Tiramisu Please!!! Elizabeth Warren has called for impeachment. There is a lot of information to digest and none of it was any good.
To claim that the democrats have not acted is foolish.

@Dicaron Democrats are weak to say the least, the others adjectives are - afraid, not proactive, just policy wonks, nerdish, out of touch with the voters in the heartland, just of a coastal party and naive. Just one candidate Elizabeth Warren calling for impeachment doesn't make her the democratic party voice. It is only a squeak. Compare with how democrats are in disarray today in Washington to how republicans got Clinton just on one misdemeanor - lying - just one while the democrats are still thinking about what to do and how to go about exposing and holding Trump accountable for at least a hundred crimes.

@Tiramisu We the people put the moron we have in office. We the the people supported the Viet Nam war, Nixon, the Afganistan war, the Iraq war. Fuck we the people. We the people are not very bright.

I'm looking over the report right now and I would say that Democrats and the war are just getting started. Remember Republicans totally controlled congress for two years of Trump's presidency. They still hold the Senate and are doing everything in their power to hold back evidence.

I am really hoping that you are right in every aspect and the lousy democrats get their ass together. Else get ready for Trump for 4 more years and for the most beautiful presidential library by the ocean in New York, Trump highways, Trump airports, Trump universities and Trump currency bills.

@Tiramisu Inorder to get another 4 years, Trump woudl need the support of the independents (most of the wing votes), which he doesn't seem to have. Will i hope that in itself doesn't make democrats over confident, as they are masters of snatching defeat from teh jaws of victory.

@snytiger6 Trump is gathering power from this "complete and total exoneration" (lol). His war chest will have close to $1 billion, his will obliterate the weak democratic opponents in debates, he will brain wash the American people with fake news while we will watch. Oh, yes it will happen. We have learned nothing from Dukakis, Al Gore and Hillary campaigns. The victory was on the silver platter to take but we could not claim it. Al Gore after popular Clinton, Hillary after popular Obama but we failed? It was because of our lousy candidates. What you are saying are hopes, what I am saying are likelihoods. I am now believing that Trump will get re-elected. He has gathered more strength today and continue to gather more as we go into November 2020.

@Tiramisu I hope not. However, I learned after George W. Bush was reelected and after Trump won the first time that I tend to underestimate the stupidity of the general public.

@snytiger6 I think you got it. We cannot underestimate the stupidity. When it overflows, it wins.

@Tiramisu money is not votes. Get your ass to the polling place!

@Tiramisu First of all, Trump was not elected. Hilary had the majority of votes and the electoral college appointed Trump as POTUS

I am going to take tomorrow off just to mourn democrats terrible and shameful loss.

A setback perhaps, but not a loss.

I don't think I can ever remember an AG, who took the position of a defense attorney before. Of course that is why Trump hired him, but an AG is supposed to be prosecutor, or an enforcer of laws.

1

Maybe the Dems need to choose better battles.

@Tiramisu I find that analogy strangely an appropriate fit.
