Thursday at American Atheist Convention 2019!

I arrived at registration around 5, checked in and got my tickets and program. Totally excited as I saw Matt Delahunty as I was walking through the lobby.
But I didn’t know anybody! So I circled the bar twice and found a seat ordered a drink and just started talking to the guy next to me, really nice kid, then we started talking to the guy on the other side of me, another really nice Atheist. We exchanged stories, then headed to the Pub Trivia.
On the way we chatted with Matt Delahunty and saw some amazing rubber band magic. I think I managed to not fan girl to much, but I got a picture!
Then the 3 of us from the bar started a table and soon had our 10 including Eric Murphy from the podcast Talk Heathen, our team name was Funky Heathens.
The rounds were challenging, 1st round was questions about Cincinnati, 2nd round was questions that related to the word supreme, 3rd round was to name 10 of the Chief Justices.
Our team came in 5th, which was about middle of the pack and we had a great time.
Then it was time for Cards Against Humanity with the Atheist cards! Some of our table left and new people joined, some great questions and answers happened. I didn’t manage to score any black cards, but laughed a lot and that’s way better.
Then it was back to the bar for more food and drinks, stuck around until 2:30 and got to meet more amazing people!
I met Aaron Ra and Callie Wright and a bunch of other really awesome people.
