Sorry for those poor bastards as blood has genetic markers of black descendants in everyone. Spencer Wells has traced this back to the first people on the plains of Aftica.

Hmmm, the ad is assuming that the racists person is white? (Pick the white one?) Last I checked racism was an equal opportunity affliction.

90% of of racism is Whites about the Other humans that live here..get it?

@Charlene I understand the point of the ad, and it would be a great one, if not for the one sentence. In the US, whites may have been in more of a position to wield their racism, but I don't think they are inherently more racist than any other group. And there is brain research that suggests that everybody is racist (or at least tribalist) at an unconscious level. Sorry, I know the intent is good, it is just my nature to overthink.

White blood is called "plasma" and contains no haemoglobin. Not much good for oxygenating! But then even the origin of white plasma is suspect.

Ummmm..where on earth did you hear That? The nuns? Or priests?

@Charlene Don't you get it ?. Blood is red.

@Moravian @Charlene Blood is only red due to the presence of haemoglobin. Remove it and you have a clear (loosely termed "white" ) liquid, the plasma. This plasma contains nutrients, white cells, immunoglobulin, etc. The haemoglobin is only there to carry oxygen to the body's cells.

@Petter I am aware of that but Charlene seemed to be confused.

@Moravian I gathered that, but the reply option stuck your name in.

At one time blood was segregated so bigots only got the blood for their race.

Not surprising..smh

I think some people thought they would turn black if they were infused with a black man's blood. @Charlene

@nicknotes no it was they'd be considered "Colored", even with trace amounts of black blood, Legally..

What a crazy situation....@Charlene
