I'am an ex muslim, and now i'am an atheist, i live in morocco where the whole population are muslims, i feel some discrimination just because i'm so different now, i have some problems in my works, my gf left me, and my family didnt accept me.
And i realise religion is the root of hate and violence. I hope to find a new friends here

Hey there, welcome. I know your post is a little old but I still wanted to answer. I know how it feels when the people you most love don't accept you the way you are but you will find that will accept you. I am here for you if you want to talk.

Be very cautious as everyone else has stated. As time goes on, you will realize that you are not the outcast or the threat. You will find out that but you are a very tolerant person and that is a really good thing.

If I were a former Muslim, I'd move to a country that was not primarily Muslim. Mostly because fanatics believe they should kill "apostates".

Welcome, Abdelkh. Does Morocco have a secular government? Do you feel physically safe being an atheist there, or is there concern being an apostate? I'm very sorry for what you've already experienced. Religious communities too often shun those who leave, in hopes it will encourage a return, but I think in many cases it does irreparable harm. I hope you find the friendship and support here that you seek.

I went to chefchuan and loved it . while in a hash bar I met some young people who were not happy. They said that in order to get a job you had to have family either in the army or connected to the royal family. So religion is not your only problem. none the less I really enjoyed the 1000 year old medina . Way cool ! You should head to spain or france . they are almost secular [especially after what spain has been through with 40 years of fascism. ]
