Forty years of speaking Emglish and i asked the lawn mower guy whether this model is self-actualized. I meant self propelled.
So embarrassed

Don't feel bad. I was walking the aisles of a grocery store searching for pecans & could not find them. Saw an older, male store employee stocking milk in the dairy section so decided to ask for assistance. Walked up to him, while glancing around and said "excuse me. Where are your nuts? " and as he gasped, I saw what I was looking for & said, "nevermind, I see them." & walked to an endcap, grabbed a bag & left. Didn't hit me till I got to the register what I had said. I still wonder 30 years later how he told that story.

Never sweat the little stuff

Emglish is difficult...

And how IS the mower’s sense of self? ?

It seems to fine. The Swedish lineage helps!

And did he go into depth with you over how the mower is making great strides, with regard to Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, or at least until it felt your invasive line of questioning begin to erode its hard-fought sense of esteem?

You know I am a big fan of Abraham Maslow and his theory. It has obviously permeated my brain. My sociology professor would be so proud!

Don't be embarrassed. We haven't done enough research yet for that repair guy to be able to speak intelligently about the psyches of lawnmowers. He wouldn't have been able to answer the question anyway.

Like all good salesmen, he barely smiled and continued explaininf the mulching and bagging features.

I feel so lame that I haven't learned to speak Emglish yet--lol.

LOL. Was that a Hispanic mistake or a German one?

If the mower really was self-actualised, I'm very jealous.
