As a christian, I grew up thinking Atheists were evil and not very smart. As i've woke up and feel i've become enlightened i see things differently. Atheists to me are more genuine because they look at things and make a decision based on the evidence whereas religious people make a conclusion then try to make the evidence fit the conclusion. Also atheists do good because they are good people instead of doing good because they think god will punish them or send them to hell.

The problem I see with this thought is that most parents didn’t just invent it to control the kids. They really believe it.

A Hypnotist can put a person in a trance and then tell them that his finger is on fire and touch the person and it will leave a blister because the person thought it was true.

A Preacher can preach to a congregation and tell them to do this and do that or they are going to hell. People out of fear make decisions to get saved.

Tell me what's the difference. All both are doing is manipulating peoples suggestibility and Gullibility. The hypnotist is honest about it and is trying to help the person by changing his mind. The preacher hides behind god and uses it as a threat to control people.

I am currently taking hypnotism classes because it has been a great help to me and i want to help others and there are actually a few preachers that are taking them too. I guess it's a good way to learn to hypnotize people to give more money

Most, if not all religions are total system ideologies. That is, they purport to include and explain everything. There are also total system political ideologies, like communism, which also purports to include and explain everything. When one becomes a "true believer" in any total system ideology, he or she is giving up personal control to the absolutism of the dogma and to tyranny of the true believer group.

Satan is the best friend the Church ever had. Don’t concern yourself with your miserable life of iron injustices & slavery, it’s god testing you. Pass the test and you will have an eternity of paradise. Fail, and an eternity of Fire & Torture, but he loves you and needs money.

So that's why most parents raise their kids in front of the TV and in recent years the Internet.
