So I hear the "General Forum" was taken down...but now it's back up?. Did I miss something? How does one access "General Forum" ? Is this question even appropriate for a general forum or should I tag @Admin?

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.Yeah, you missed quite a lot. Admin suddenly announced the general forums (ie everything that isn't groups) was no more; most of us said "No! We want the general forums back!" and lo! - Admin gave us back the general forums.
It was all a bit mad, but it turned out OK in the end.
