I watched Biden's speech today to the Union House in Pittsburgh. It was nice to hear an inspiring speech instead of that hate filled garbage we get at Trump rallies. It reminded me of the labor speeches I used to hear in the 70's. It was a nice change.

One could belive that we had a chance for positive changes going forward. He spoke to workers from the standpoint of a blue coller worker, not an extollation of hollow promises and invictives like we've gotten used to over the last two years.

The others are going to need to step up their game to compete for the Independents and modetate Democrats who voted for Trump last election. Biden is going to have to figure out how to appeal to the Progressives and white educated voters in the Democratic ranks. This should be an intetesting campaign.

I'm not a Biden fan. He's really trying to rebrand himself to move away from his hard right wing authoritarianism in the 90s. He was for the death penalty for drug offenders (yes, that's right).

His approval rating is also very low. And how can he possibly compete with the decency, consistency and human rights defender, Bernie Sanders.

While Handsy Uncle Joe was fighting for the death penalty in the 90s, Bernie was fighting for gay rights.

No question he is trying to rebrand himself. What politician worth his/her salt doesn't take the pulse and make adjustments to evolve with chznging times and sentiments.

@t1nick
The fact that he needs to rebrand means he hasn't been consistent, and on really important issues. It's not like he was a kid in the 90s, or the first 10 years of the 21st century. He is trying to appeal to the public in a slimy way.

Not a fan.

@Athena I havent decided on anybody. I guarantee you that his message will hit home with a lot of people in the working community. I came from that world snd undrrstand his message. But I am a progressive liberal due to my education.

@t1nick

I'm sure it will, in that case. I just think Bernie cares more and will be even more helpful to these people.

Agreeed that Berni is decent, honest and a great defender of human and gay rights - and to the general mass of voters that makes him unelectable because they care about jobs, wealth creation (for themselves) and may pay homage to others rights, but will vote for their personal benefit.
