I took a turning point after a recent family loss. I deleted my Facebook and Twitter accounts in favor of focusing on my mental well-being. It took months of weighing the option, days of sorting thru old posts and photos, but I finally decided that it will be better for me in the long run. We are moving soon and while I think it will be a step in the right direction, I also think little things for the interim to improve myself overall will be a much better idea. Quitting smoking, quitting toxic social media platforms, and I am even sorting thru all my effects to ensure that we move with only what is important to us. We will be moving into a house all our own and living in minimalist fashion. I am excited, (good) nervous, and hopeful for what our future as a family holds.

All that sounds like a good move to me. I wish you a good peaceful, contented life.

Well props to you. I only use FB for my own entertainment. No friends. No photos of me. Everything I put there is public. Reducing what one shlepps around from address to address is ponderous. A few special things & the rest is food water shelter & pets.
