Last I remember, our body fights viruses with white blood cells, and producing them raises our core temp. And there's a difference between a virus, and a disease. A virus, grant it, may eventually cause a disease through different avenues. But they are not so much alike that contracting a disease results in having a high temp.. So I'll say nay to this postulation. But hey... what the hell do I know. 😏😁

I'm glad you laughed at that Bigpaw... ðŸĪŠðŸ˜ŽðŸĪĢ Otherwise,,, I would have felt the need to explain it to everybody else... 😂

The analogy is not valid.
To regard the earth as an organism is a modern kind of mysticism.

Interesting view. I'm inclined to think of the Gaia philosophy.

Yeah.... and then there's that... ðŸĪĢ

@bigpawbullets Exactly. The GAIA- theory is a pseudo-scientific variety of mysticism. Planet Earth an organism that regulates its own temperature? Just look at the temperature curve of the last 3,5 billion years, from snowball earth to tropical climate in Antarctica. During the great mass extinction 250 million years ago, "mother" Earth killed most of her children, life alomst came to a standstill.

GAIA ? The Medea hypothesis is much more scientific:
