This is for gardeners!
I was going to ask you about the state of your garden tools, especialkly the ones with sharp edges, cutters, clippers shears, etc. I decided to make a poll out of it. Please le me know what you do.

What is this sharpening that you speak of? Or maybe I just don't use mine that much...

About the only tiem I sharpened a tool was when i was taking otu trees and splitting wood. I bought a gringing stone for the axe, that could be inseted into the drill to sharpen up and hone the blade.

Other than that, I just buy new tools, because the time money and effort is generally too much to make sharpening worth while.

@Allamanda When I buy new, I tend to lean towards the higher quality tools tha tdont' need constant sharpening. Most yard tools are sufficiently sharp when I buy them.

None of the above. I sharpen them with a stone or file when they need to be sharpened. I have 2 lawnmowers, one at home and one for the orchard. These blades I sharpen every year with a grinding wheel and file. Grass needs to be cut cleanly if it is to be healthy.

I sharpen clippers and shears with a small sharpening stone. Makes a huge difference.
