Every time I move my cursor around this website I inadvertently 'hover' over someone's post or their profile. This is so annoying because it seems to take a few seconds before it is removed from my screen.
Is this just my laptop that does this?

Yes and also when this happens they will get a notification that you viewed their profile.

yes that's irritating too.
Had the same problem and irritation a while back … then someone said that we can turn off the ‘hovering’ option. I did - it worked! Same thing as you’re describing before, though - very annoying. And, I’ll assume member’s thought I was ‘checking them out’ when I was only attempting to navigate. Good luck ~
