I usually scroll on by those posts. The specific trolling post I believe you may be referring to was an exception as it was too misogynistic to be ignored. He clearly has some deep seeded issues that should be discussed with a medical professional.

yeah...we are puppets if we choose to engage...I participate just to see various responses...mental combat can be fun sometimes especially when the other side does not have the same ammunition as most of us do...

This invites people to reply.
What I’ve come to feel is, that they can’t, and their absence verifies that. Let us have our fun, untethered! And if it’s ‘points’ they’re after … well, that’s what ya get with points ~ 
I usually ignore posts which are purely links to some opinion piece from a publication. Likewise with photo shots of memes. This is a very lazy way to post and gain points in my opinion.

Since I don't like saccharine memes and platitudes, I ignore them. Easy to do.
