But he doesnt have absolute power. The fact is he has made no progress in years apart from SC assignments. He couldnt get rid of Obamacare, his immigrant policies are being torn apart, his administration has dropped the ball on so many things out of basic incompetence and unpreparedness. I'm more worried about people behind the scenes.

If anything t'Rump has woken up every single left leaning soul and unified them and turned some reds into permanent blues. The Republicans lost control of their own party to infighting and are now losing their strongholds. t'Rump is capitalizing on that and hoping to giving then all that they want will buy him votes...but he doesn't understand real Republicans...the voting republican is different from party republican. Those republicans are leaving the party! We are now getting democrats elected in previously red-only states and positions. I actually have a lot of hope for Democrats in the next few election cycles.

Note that technically our country didn't vote for him. He won due to a technicality of how our elections work.

That said...I was flabbergasted by the nearly 50% that did vote for him. I couldn't believe they were such bad judges of character. The only reason I could think of why they voted for him is that he had about 10 years of positive propaganda from his national prime time TV show. If all that couldn't even get him the popular vote, maybe there's hope for America after all?

I guess we'll find out in 2020.
