It depends on your family and friends. My being an Atheist has never created the slightest problem for me with anyone, ever.

I pretty much say what I want, but also choose not to discuss religion, politics with conservatives. But I've been naive, believing the people in Albuquerque to be more liberal. The Cancer Association has volunteer drivers for people going to the hospital for cancer treatments, but after someone drove me every week to the hospital for a couple of months, they'd drop me.

Today, after another driver stopped coming, I realized that they do that whenever I mention I'm agnostic OR say something positive about the LGBTQ community.

It's zip the lip from now on. Better to only encourage the driver to talk.
