Here in Australia we face an election this Saturday. Now normally religion and religious views are not raised in the actual campaign by the major political parties. This time, however, the issue of hell has come up, because the church the Prime Minister attends believes gays who have sex are going to hell. And the Prime Minister often speaks of his religion, even inviting TV cameras into his church during the campaign. That's unprecedented. (he's a pentecostal)
It's been extraordinary to see this come up in the campaign. The Opposition leader called out the Prime Minister for not clearly stating gay persons are not hell bound. Amazing stuff.
This is what happens when a political leader uses religion as part of his campaign. I hope we don't see it again.

As a gay man, my only hope of EVER having sex is if I go to hell.

Why are religions so obsessed with people's genitals and what they do with them?

I think it will be nipped in the bud if we get a change of govt, and that's my hope.

You guys are better than this. You MUST act against this. I have noted this in recent years in Australia. Maybe a Eurovision win will remind you where your history lies (Oh and sorry for all the shitty things we Brits did!)

Make sure he loses the election!

Beware! This is further proof of the insidious, creeping Americanisation of Australian society, which started with General Motors, Holden.
