I wish it did prove to be a cloud of anti-matter from the big bang, which simply swept through a large area of matter, resulting in the anti-climactic annihilation of both.

I think it is dark matter because we know it is there but we are unable to see it. This makes it hard for us to figure out exactly what it does and that is part of the mystery.

Dark Matter? Neutron cluster? Anti-matter cloud? We laymen await the pronouncements of the astro-psychisists!
