I was surprised to see 2 Canadian geese (eh?) sitting on the top of my friend’s house. Turns out they were 2 mates who had deposited their eggs in the marshy area near their place so spend their days & nights watching over them, on the roof, on the lawn, etc. How lovely!

I get a little freaked out when they hiss at me while I pass them on my bike on our local river path and the rivers' edge. I avoid them as much as possible this time of year since they are very protective (as they should be!) of their little ones. They are very good parents. We call them Canada geese here in Wisconsin. We had some white pelicans that migrated into the area for awhile and they are huge birds...but the Canada geese would go after them if the pelicans got to close to their nesting area. It was funny to watch how much respect they got...ha ha.

How do you know they were Canadian. Did they have their passports in their beaks ? πŸ™‚

They honk and then say eh

@ToolGuy obviously you’ve never lived in WA state, yes! πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸ»πŸ¦†

My most recent experience with birds is getting attacked by a crow this weekend! Bastard body slammed the back of my head hard enough to draw blood! There must be a nest nearby.
