Whatβs the best thing you like to do to make you feeling better?
Exercising always puts me in a better mood whether it's running, swimming or cross-fit.
Me too.
Walk my dogs. (They are both gone now but that was the best thing in the world)
The state of rapture I experience when reading a wonderful book is one of the main reasons I read.
It doesn't happen every time. When it does happen, I am instantly transported into another world.
Rapture of the Deep refers to what happens when a scuba diver spends too much time going deep and doesn't know which way is up. If he surfaces too fast, he's liable to have a condition called the bends, where his body can't adapt to the atmosphere.
All of this happens to me when I surface from a great book.
I get it, but not exactly accurate...
I am a certified master diver...so fyi, in case you really want to know...
Nitrogen narcosis is Rapture of the Deep...it is a pleasant high that happens when you go too deep, usually past 130 feet or so..caused by breathing too much nitrogen...there is confusion and many divers get disoriented...easily remedied by going up to casual diver levels of not more than 60 feet or so...or get out of the water in the safe way and chill
The bends is when the same nitrogen is not processed quickly enough (which is why you have to rise slowly from the deep) forming bubbles...it is in the bloodstream at a level that causes pain and potential death...the air bubbles can cause embolisms...it has nothing to do with oxygen...the only remedy is a hyperbaric chamber for a few days...it is painful and can affect your joints for years...
Thanks for the correction. I stand corrected.
@LiterateHiker just information..your description, rapture of the deep set the mood of what you intended...I know that feeling well...
