When I was growing up my parents took us on vacation once a year. Usually it was to visit my dads family in East Tennessee or my moms family in the UP ( Michigan) There were some other trips too but those were the main places. It wasn’t until a couple years ago I got my passport and decided I really craved different culture. It always seemed when I was a kid that traveling was only used as a break from everyday life and work. It’s truly one of the best things I’ve ever done. I haven’t been many places yet, so far Canada and England... though my goal next is Ireland. The world is so big and there are so many things to see and learn, even on just a personal level.
Our family trips sometimes was to Florence Italy.
We have a lot of family there.
It was usually a group thing including My grand parents, to cousins. An amazing time.
I was fairly young back then, and it's on my bucket list to go back as an adult.
I would like to visit the places you named in your post some day. Hopefully I round up the money some day.
@BohoHeathen I hear you. I can't afford to leave the state until I pay off my credit card.
