So my understanding is the Dept of Justice cannot indict a sitting president, that is congresses responsibility. As speaker, Pelosi can get the indictment going but refuses to, instead waiting for more congressional enquiries to be done.
Is this what is happening?

Apparently the Mueller report showed there wasn't evidence of any impeachable offense to bring to the table. I personally haven't read it, so I'm not going to say one way or the other.

@powder This is the part that pretty much says it all... " “If we had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so,” Mueller said Wednesday morning. (In other words... I can't say we can prove a negative... that something didn't happen... kind of like proving any thing 'did not' happen.. ) However, he went on to explain, Justice Department policy prevents the indictment of a sitting president. So, he said, “charging the president with a crime was therefore not an option we could consider.” And for that reason, he didn't do what the DNC wanted him to do. The bottom line is that they just don't have evidence that he himself committed a crime worthy of impeachment proceedings. They're tired of him making them look like fools and want to make sure they have their ducks in a row first. I just don't see that coming to fruition.

My guess is you never read the Mueller report because he stated that it was up to congress to indict Trump for obstruction of justice and there was overwhelming evidence of not only obstruction but other felonies as well...

@powder Are all Republicans illiterate?... It seems that way because they never seem to understand what they read or even hear unless it fits their preconceptions or hear some opinion suck up on fake news tell them what to believe...

@Lizard_of_Ahaz Are all Democrats illiterate? It seems that way because they never seem to understand what they read or even hear unless it fits their preconceptions or hear some opinion suck up on fake news tell them what to believe... Well here's the report.. Now show where it gives evidence of any collusion or obstruction.. And where does Muller say it in your video? [politico.com]

@Captain_Feelgood My guess is you are not real bright.... I never said I was a Democrat now did I? Read the damned thing yourself because you obviously let FAUX Noise read it for you.... He specifically said that according to the constitution congress had to impeach the president and that it was NOT within the powers of the DOJ to charge a sitting president... That is the only reason several congressmen are still out of prison McConnell being one of them they can NOT be charged by civil authorities while sitting in congress...
[google.com]

@Lizard_of_Ahaz I'm not bright? Where did I say YOU were a Democrat? From your article "The report found no criminal conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia to tip the outcome of the 2016 presidential election in Trump’s favor." And no, it's not Mueller's job to tell Congress what to do about the report, only what he found. You're the one saying (three comments up) "there was overwhelming evidence of not only obstruction but other felonies as well..." You said that, so where is it? Just claiming it's there shows nothing but the fact that you didn't read it, and that you only echo the senseless drivel the drive-by media (CNN, MSNBC, etc) throw at you.. Now again, you claim it's in there, so point it out. Other wise you're just proving Fox News to be correct.

@Lizard_of_Ahaz Your ad hominems only prove that you just don't get it, and are embarrassed. I feel for you really. Again, you say it's there, yet can't point it out.... Soo sad... Cheers

@Captain_Feelgood Like I said.... You keep insisting on proving that I am right which means I am correct about your lack of character... completely disproving your assertion that I am indulging in any ad hominem...

@Lizard_of_Ahaz Pfffft... Do you even hear/read what you are typing on here? Do know how silly.... you know what... never mind.. I was just told to not bother with you,,, you have mental disorders that I don't know about... I'm very sorry.. I didn't know... I hope you get the meds that you need... and the ones you currently take for PTSD adjusted,, because they aren't working right now... I wish you luck.. If I can help, let me know... 😥

@Captain_Feelgood Mental disorders are for conservatives and Trumpanzees....

@Lizard_of_Ahaz Soooo,,, you are a conservative, and a 'Trumpanzee'? Because you certainly do show the signs of one that has a mental disorder,,,, not to mention the fact that you admit to having one... Just saying...
Perhaps you should just give up while you're behind... It's never too late you know.. 🤔

@Lizard_of_Ahaz And sense you like pictures soo much,,, here are some for you...

@Lizard_of_Ahaz Or perhaps you prefer these...

@Captain_Feelgood

@Captain_Feelgood All your bullshit and you live in a state that if you didn't receive subsidies from the one I live in you would be living in Somalia 2.0.... Hell you are most of the way there now...

@Lizard_of_Ahaz Ummm.... your profile says you live in California.... California takes massive amounts of aid from D.C., lacks renewable water, and has a far higher crime rate than average. The only thing California has to say for itself is that it produces the most food BY VALUE, not by quantity. And that's mostly because California is large. When building a pipe line from the Great Lakes to your state is considered a valid idea to get fresh water, you're not self sufficient. You can't pay for your own mess of a State, much less subsidize mine... You're truly delusional.. Get your meds adjusted before it's too late, buddy... You really need help.. 😥

Pelosi wants to impeach Trump's ass as badly as most Democrats do. But she is apparently waiting until they have a preponderance of evidence against him, and the majority of the Senate on their side. With Trump's propensity for sticking his feet in his mouth, that shouldn't take long!

Procrastination has always been the way of governments. How many years have the Republicans said they had a better health plan but have never delivered anything. All that Trump did was to change a few of Obama's plan. This SOP. A very sad commentary.

I'm surprised that my atheist/agnostic friends here aren't more enlightened, and just choose to name-call and disparage people already in a difficult situation. Calculations are that if/when congress brings an indictment against Trump, the senate won't impeach anyway and the country not only would lose a chance to get him out for another 4 years, we could lose the congress again as well. I agree that he needs to be replaced by ANYone asap, but this is almost a no-win situation. You geniuses come up with a solution other than tearing down the only hope we have right now. Pelosi has been the only and most successful one to stand up to him, so it's pretty lame to disparage her, especially as this isn't over yet. Patience and careful thought is what is needed, not adolescent name calling which is what we know is wrong with him and his right wing bastards in the first place among other things, total corruption for another thing.

Trading Trump for Pence is like trading a pig for a skunk.

THHA Level 7 May 30, 2019

Yes. But the skunk would only serve out the duration of Trump's term. And then, we'd be done with him!

Actually, it would be giving the SKUNK the opportunity to appear presidential . . . . another not so smart move. The SKUNK could then talk all the bullshit he wanted, as they all do, and get elected. They re-elected BUSH, they re-elected OBOMMER, and they sure as hell could elect Pence, given half the chance.
