Next time christians want to put "Christ back in Christmas" remind them of its pagan origins. This was an attempt of early christianity to convert people faster by adapting their current pagan rituals.

Man, i'ts only March. Let's leave the contemplation of the War On Christmas for, like, September at least
We must prepare ourselves for December. Thinking ahead haha.
The next time Christians complain about the X in Xmas, remind them that the X in ????? (ichthys) literally represents Greek word for Christ because it is the first letter of the Greek word for Christ. So putting the X in Xmas IS putting christ in Christmas, but it is easier to write.
I also like to remind them that the "reason for the season" is actually the winter solstice since that's what all the original Pagan celebrations were about. The end of winter, the return of the sun, that's the reason.
@MichaelMayo I'm not convinced that holy doesn't mean full of holes.
@sewchick57 I thought the reason for the season was related to the tilt of the Earth's axis and how that affects which areas of the planet get more sunlight.
@Meep70 Yup, top of the planet starts tilting towards the sun. The days in the northern hemisphere get longer.
@Meep70 ...if you know it's history then you know it's full of holes ...
