What makes your life beautiful? What brings you the most joy?
1). Outdoors. Usually great views or unexpected events involving out non-human co-occupants of this globe.
2) Surprising spontaneous connections with people where it is revealed that our minds are in synch.
It changes as the years go by.
When I was a child, it was books. Little worlds. Later, art, music, history, anthropology, more art. My children. Nursing-so much joy. Now, simple things. Quiet days, friends, my family, my dog.
In one word People! My friends. My family too of course, I have a wonderful son and daughter-in- law and two bright and beautiful grandsons, and a loving brother and his family circle, but they all live “across the water” in England. I have the privilege of having the most marvellous group of friends one could ever wish for, not least those members of my choir. Singing with a group of others brings a special kind of joy, it releases endorphins and gives one a feeling of bonding and exhilaration. I can recommend joining a choir to anyone who can hold a note, the rewards are manifold and can be life changing, especially for those suffering from depression or loneliness.
You sound like you have a beautiful group of family and friends. You are blessed!!
@Jama765 I believe I’m extremely lucky.
I was a professional bass player in NYC. Have not played as much in Toronto. In fact, I am looking for a good rock band. Playing and performing, and recording is the love of my life. Have been doing so since age 14. Have met great people during my gigs in the New York City and Toronto club circuits .And I love what I do. After a good performance I feel incredibly good
Love music as well! Maybe you can share a clip with us sometime!

It has been forever since I've flown a kite! I'm putting it on my list for next week. Thanks!!!
Hiking is my passion.
Since age 21, I have hiked over 200/miles per year, with 45,000 to 65,000 feet of elevation gain.
Wow. Beautiful!!! My good friend is hiking the Pacific coast trail. I've only day hiked.
I was only at 6,000 to 7,000 feet elevation. No breathing problems.
What goes up, must go down. It's total elevation gain and loss.
I am deliberately slower on the descent. Tired after climbing, we tend to relax. Tripping, falls and injuries usually occur while descending, especially in failing light.
