Abuse toward indigenous women

I read about this, this morning in the Seattle Times and was going to post it (if I could find a source that didn’t require a subscription or demand I remove my ad block.) I got into a discussion with my half native friend about a part of the story that I found missing, why and by whom? We have lots of reservations here and there are lots of non-natives living in these places. I also know poverty is common with tribes so I think there are probably several reasons for this. It seems when it rains it pours and this is just another wonderful testimony to paternalism. Almost makes one want to get a sex change.

I miss news about inspirational people instead of the daily dose to politics.
