Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, and Tennessee folks! I'm starting a group for our region in the hopes that we will be able to build a regional community and ideally sets of friends in various places who can actually meet face-to-face once in awhile.
Anyone who lives or works in one of these four states, or is just across the border from one, or otherwise has ties or roots in these parts is warmly welcome to join! Come one, come all!
Here's the link:

You can also access it at "Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana & Tennessee" .
Does your future enterprise have a name?
You are selecting a large region. Is it virtual?
I'm just naming it as given above so that its prospective members can readily find it by searching their state's name under Group search.
Yes, it's virtual. Subsets may meet one another at some point. While we're larger than groups devoted to a single metro area, this group is smaller than groups I'm already a member of that are devoted to 8 or even 12 states. Those regions seem too big to me, but it is important to have enough people participating, so 4 medium-sized states seems about right. The metro area groups are nice, but they don't address the folks stuck in the rural and small town communities.
Oh, I see. The link I posted first was correct in its destination but didn't give the name. If I want the name to appear, I have to type it thus: "Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana & Tennessee"
@vertrauen
My bad. When I first read the post, I mistakenly thought you were starting an organization outside of this site.
Joining your group. Best of luck.
My personal hope is that the non-theist population becomes a large consideration in in the minds of politicians.
More non-theist groups in the South will, or will start, changing the power structure of this "Christian" nation.
@Heathenman no worries. The closest IRL organization I know of specific to the region is Tristate Freethinkers,
