There are many words that people like to use in the secular community that annoy me. Because I am often uncertain if many of these people grasp what these concepts REALLY mean.

Freethinker.
Rational.
Logical.
Reason(able?).
{The trifecta}
Nuanced.

I call these intellectual buzzwords, and I have grown to learn that people who feel the need to pin such flair to their vest more than likely don't GET it. If its true, it will be visible.

Am I wrong on this?

Do you have any more words for the list?

They all seem like words from a rejected CV!

These words are used for many reasons. Time to get a clue.

It's been my experience that when someone has to refer to themselves by one of those labels, they're doing so because they're trying to defend an ideology that would make an actual "free thinker" question their conclusions.

Atheist is the only word I'll ever use to describe myself. The rest seem to carry an air of superiority.

I've seen Brights tossed about occassionaly. Same category.
