US notorious Boston Crime Boss Whitey Bulger, who was murdered in prison last year, wrote a letter to Trump praising him and attacking Robert Mueller. Now as a native of Boston, we feared this well known Irish, racist, misogynistic and murdering gangster. As a teen I went to the Ashmont Drive- In right next to Whitey's dumping place for bodies in the swamp. I actually was in his bar in Southie one New Years Eve in the 70s without knowing it. Anyone else have a close encounter with a gangster in his backyard?
I drove past the White House a few times between 1993 and 2001... Does that count?
No...well I met Ian Brady (notorious child murderer in UK from the 1960s)
Tell me how and where...I am presuming it was in your nursing capacity.
@Marionville Yes it was when I was a student nurse. It was the former 'Park Lane' (now Ashworth) special hospital at Magull. All I can say is he had the human warmth of a computer generated person without the charm. Not particularly frightening just no humanity. Its hard to explain what was missing, it just was.
@Amisja Kind of like the living dead.
@Marionville Indeed. I can't say I believe in a soul but if there is such a thing, he didn't possess one.
In Spanish, there is a saying that goes like this: "Dios los crea y ellos se juntan". (Roughly "god creates them and they join each other".) In English, the equivalent would be "birds of a feather flock together".
Now, to answer the question: Yes, I have. But I am a lawyer, so....
I like that saying.
I grew up in Revere in the 70's, another favorite place to dump bodies. I never had any sightings of him but I was visiting the area a few years ago when they were filming parts of the movie about him and I just missed seeing, Johnny Depp.
I used to hang out at Revere Beach at the Jo Jo Room and Caravan Club when I was 18 and underage. My cousins ran a novelties stand and my grandparents lived on the Boulevard where I spent summers with them as a child.
