In a marriage/relationship, are traditional gender roles wrong, if you both are happy and prefer it that way? How would a feminist view that? Would they see it as not possible, or due to the patriarchy, or brainwashing? i haven't heard any good arguements against traditional gender roles, when both people consent.

Traditional gender roles ?. Where the man works and the woman stays at home as an obedient wife. Where he makes all the decisions and the wife has little say. I hope you get a good kicking from the feminists on here, which you deserve.

I’m a feminist and a housewife. I have a pretty traditional marriage except my husband and I are equals in our relationship. He doesn’t get the final say in things just because he has a penis.

@AnneWimsey has an excellent point.

More to that is; Feminism is supposed to be about women being free to choose their own paths. You can still have a matriachy and still follow the old gender roles, but it would be better for both to just fulfill roles they are best suited to based on ability not gender.

A " feminist", or anyone else for that matter, would think it was None of Their Business! You?
