Just watched Bob Dylan Rolling Thunder Review on Netflix. Just simply amazing. History of the best song writer and lyricist in history of the us.

After Joni Mitchell, I say.

@brentano. Everybody has an opinion. When I look at lists of greatest songs , They are full of Bob Dylan songs. And the covers....all along the watchtower as an example.....

True enough. There's no denying his talent!

@Bigwavedave Wow, how could I forget 'All Along the Watchtower' ... one of his gems ... particularly as interpreted by Jimi.

@AnonySchmoose right, Jimmi Hendrix, Dave Matthews come to mind. But I a sure there are more.

I live in NC and one of the favorite state songs is "Wagon Wheel" by Old Crow Medicine Show. It turns out that is also a Bob Dylan song. And it has been redone by Darius Rucker

@Bigwavedave I liked the recording by Darius Rucker more. I liked his voice and instrumentals.

I echo that valuation of Dylan!

@anonyschmoose. I get choked up when I watch his old concerts....what a lyricist...a troubadour ...we need a new young Bob to take on the devil in office.

@Bigwavedave I would not have survived years of hardship without his poetry and music. I've been an avid fan forever. If it is not to be Bob, I hope a new young musical lyrical poet can expose the military, industrial, congressional, corporate syndicate that has currently overpowered freedom in America.

@AnonySchmoose I have used him for therapy my whole life . So many great songs

I could go for days...

@Bigwavedave There's a track with an amazing saxophone refrain--I thought it was on Blood on the Tracks, but could not relocate. There are many amazing songs I adore--here are a few of them: Desolation Row, Shelter from the Storm, Tangled Up in Blue, Cold Irons Bound, Ain’t Talkin’, Thunder on the Mountain, Highlands

@AnonySchmoose oh yea shelter from the storm. . Just chilling....
