Many homeless people have psychological problems. Nevada had houses for these folks, that would give them their drugs, but the budget was killed, so they all became homeless without their drugs.

Didn’t Reagan do about the same thing on a national level during his reign..? He forced mental patients (I assume many having drug habits) into the emergency rooms and police stations, rather than allowing federal funds to maintain alternative treatment programs…

Would I be incorrect assuming the budget killers in Nevada were/ are Republicans … ‘saving money’ for the rich ..while neglecting the poor?

@Tomaf Freedom from sanity - let's celebrate! ..then vote!

These mentally ill patients became homeless because mental health facilities treat them with medication and send them on their way... Without considering the fact that many of them will stop taking the medication without supervision or support...

And had to fall into crime to feed their habits no doubt.

@Bobby9 I think the op actually meant psychiatric medication not illicit drugs....

@Bobby9 No I don't but people who are at braking point will and if you don't look after them what choices do they have.

@Bobby9 Perhaps one day you or someone close to you may find themselves in that very same situation and I bet you that you would want someone to care.

@Bobby9 Not only are you selfish but an insensitive oaf too. A true Donald.

@Bobby9 Twat

@Bobby9 Tosser.

This is just awful.

I know these decision makers well. To justify their actions, they often begin by saying, "God only helps those who help themselves."

The politics of economics over compassion
Punish poverty, reprimand the wretched, deny the desperate and dying ad called it civilisation

I'm guessing that was a false economy?
