HIGH HATRED OF PROGRESSIVES AND CONSERVATIVES

Do we all remember how American progressives ridiculed Ronald Reagan during and after the elections where he defeated Jimmy Carter?

We did and said all kinds of things:

1. We ridiculed Regan at every chance we got
2. We made all kinds of memes of Regan acting with a monkey, this Western movie hero with no brains etc.
3. The late night shows increased its viewership with Reagan jokes
4. New York Times and Washington Post ran critical articles of him all the time
5. We attacked Nancy Reagan accusing her of of controlling her husband
6. We Democrats held Iran-Contra hearings with full day time TV coverage and called it the Nuremberg-like trials
7. Phil Collins made this music video of "Land of Confusion"

So what happened? Regan got re-elected, was called the "Great Communicator" and now ranks as one of the 5 great Presidents of the United States. The history judged him very differently than we progressives did.

Progressives hate everything on other side and the Conservatives hate everything on our side. Not one side recognizes anything good said or done by the other side. It is just spewing hatred every day. That is toxic and does nothing good to anyone.

We are now doing the same thing with Trump. Everything he does not matter what is bad to us. Everything out Democrat leaders did not matter how bad but we loved it.

Can we not be better than that?
