Nobody is ignoring it. It just the latest outrage from Trump. His arrogance allows him to ignore his responsibilities to this country and its people. It is yet another example of his believing the government is his, and he is accountable to no one or anything other than his own desires. He feels he is not accountable to the people, the law, the Constitution and, least of all the Congress. Not accountable to the Senate because McConnell has made it quite clear he will do nothing to impede Trump and not The House because McConnell won’t allow the Senate to follow up on anything initiated by the House.

Hopefully, the 2020 election will be the comeuppance that both Trump and McConnell deserve.
