Who here has read the Berenstain Bears books? Before they were writing those, authors Jan and Stan were a little more salacious. [berenstainbearscollectors.com]

My boys loved these books, and I recently found one of their favourites The Bear Scouts, and I took it over for my grandsons to enjoy....poor Papa Bear always gets it wrong....but the kids keep him right! I had no idea about the other sort of books they wrote though....must look for them. 😍

Prolific horror novelist Graham Masterton's first two books were sex education books, apparently homicidal dead red Indian medicine men were more profitable.

@altschmerz They were not unprofitable, just less profitable than his graphically violent supernatural adventures, I'm a big fan of Masterton, I'd recommend his books to anyone who wants something quick and easy to read that will haunt your nightmares for a week after.
