So now Kamala Harris supposedly hit a home run when she chastised Joe Biden for being proud that he worked with 2 segregationists in the 70s (in order to pass some good legislation). And he stated clearly that he was in opposition to their bigotry. And the legislation he referred to did NOT promote the segregationist agenda. So would he have been a better person to have refused to work with them, and then the good legislation to help people would have never happened??!! Of course not ! The tendency for people to be believe bombastic claims (such as Kamala's) without bothering to consider it's validity is the kind of lunacy that got Trump elected. And for Kamala to use that baseless charge as a political weapon against a good man (in order to promote herself) is shameful. It's Trumpian.

Joe’s been in politics for a long time, and knows that a thick skin is required. That being said, I’d rather we look at what’s happening NOW, and at our ideas for the future, rather than adjudicating the past.

@Bigel I certainly hope so.

It was for his constituents I was told so by my former partner lifetime resident of Delaware big hot button issue for them at that time he was known for following the democrats wishes. There is a old political saying that laws like sausage is not something you want to know how it's made . These next few months will be about the candidates jockeying for position and tearing each other down something that makes no sense to me. Get together work on policy defeat trump and the republicans Bernie did that last time take a hint from him we must unite together and rebuild this country after the mess the republicans and their bosses are making the native American leader techumpsa said one branch is easily broken but a bundle cannot be . Either Annapolis or west point has a statue of him and that saying . Something we need to learn

I don't think there was as much tearing down as I thought...it was more of an "who thought of it first" and "who is now on the more progressive bandwagon"...once the field is narrowed down, I think there will be a big effort to consolidate it all into one big force...sadly, our country will be united not to get a lot of things done but to undo a lot of things that have been done by our misguided and corrupt current leader...

She has constantly said that she knows he is not a racist...duh...VP to Obama...she gave him an opportunity to clarify and he seemed confused and angry...I love Joe, I really do...but I think it is time to hang it up...she did not charge him with anything...I think she expressed her personal story and hurt that he continues this narrative of using old stories of his own to make a point that is invalid today...the good old days were not so good to many people...she wanted him to change his narrative and his response was that he was against the Dept of education dictating the busing...hardly relevant to the constituents that have no idea what he was talking about...

I agree with your analysis of the situation. Sometimes one has to make a bargain with the devil to improve the lot of society.
I think many people were influenced by the "sound bites" by the media rather than listening to the entire discussion by VP Biden and hearing it all in context.
