If I were a woman I would claim the absolute personal right to have an abortion if I so chose. In the same vein, I claim the right to end my own life if I should so choose. Neither of those rights should be subject to government scrutiny. Do you have any erudite rationale to the contrary?

That is the essence of real freedom. The right to abortion, suicide, use drugs, gamble, use prostitutes, drink alcohol, watch pornography, ..........

Of course....@Allamanda

None of the items I mentioned included children. @NoPlanetB

@Allamanda Please explain, "...or while in possession of a firearm...".

@Allamanda I did not know what you meant. Other than that, do think that shooters are generally under the influence of drugs or alcohol when they do a shooting? Is the frequency of such enough to be statistically significant?

@Allamanda You seem to think/express yourself in terms of ambiguous platitudes. You do not present well-reasoned arguments. Your straw-man arguments are too ambiguous to respond to. If you have a logical connection between guns and alcohol/drugs, I would like to hear it.
