It's almost time for Pow, ka, pop, pop, pop! That's the sound I always hear around my area just before and after the 4th of July. Well, maybe not so much this year. There are 3 fireworks stands around my town and 5 or more around the town I work in. Just not so much sales going on. I know this because I do not hear any fireworks! Last year was so much noise at night that you had to turn up the TV to be able to hear your program.
I know the problem. Nobody has any money! Some might ask if they should buy meth or fireworks. It doesn't look like people are able to buy either around here. I keep my doors locked and avoid my dopey neighbors. It appears that a lot of them cannot even pay the electric company. Lots of air conditioners not running around here these days.
Pow, ka, pop, pop, pop! It was fun when I was a kid and blew up my army men with firecrackers but not so much fun today. I'm not sure that anyone is celebrating any freedoms. That isn't it any more. If you enjoy fireworks and also have children try going to a local city park for the annual fireworks display. It's totally free and should make everyone happy. It is also safe.
We've had so much rain lately in the evenings that I suspect that is one reason the pyrotechnics haven't started yet. This weekend and next week I can guarantee our neighborhood will be filled with the sound of fireworks. We also have the tents going up all around our city selling fireworks. Folks really like those loud ones that sound like mortars going off. They aren't legal but that doesn't seem to matter.
Fireworks bans are being enacted in Washington as we speak, year-after-year.
Despite fireworks bans, male idiots start wildfires with fireworks every year. It's appalling. I don't understand it.
In my area it's not just the males who indulge in blowing shit up. At least this year there's no beach for them to use in the woods is full of water.
