Ah, imo he nailed it, "Nehushtan" is the cure for Christianity, yes.
"No Son of Man may die for another's sins..."
"No one has ever gone up to heaven..."
"There is only One Immortal"

Christians hate all those, see. "You and your sons will be here with me"
So you, too, can Quote the Bible at Christians and send em screaming! Lol

I hear that all the time from FFRF members.

I wonder how long it stayed there before someone from the store actually read it.

They knew ezackly what they were putting up imo

@bbyrd009 I suppose. Or maybe they have a vendetta with Mr. Twain and are trying to disprove his statement?

@Donna_I well i guess anything is possible, but i am pretty sure the Bible and Christianity as we know it have virtually nothing to do with each other, and those ppl are prolly just hip to that. I mean try out the following Bible vv on a Christian lol, lemme know what they say, "No Son of Man may die for another's sins..., You and your sons will be here with me, No one has ever gone up to heaven..., There is only One Immortal, They read Paul to their destruction," etc.

@Donna_I plus i think Twain is a lot like Lincoln, to our minds? Wish i knew where that store was, tbh, but the Abarim are working pretty well for me right now anyway i guess. ok peace

@bbyrd009 lol! I can only imagine what they would say. I would need to ear mark the pages in my own copy and drag it with me to make the arguement ... 🤔 might be interesting!

@bbyrd009 Twain and Lincoln are both good for a thoughtful quote. peace to you as well!

It cured me. I was healed! Praise be to secularism!

Hmm. I think that sounded better in head. Picture those words as woudl be said in a revical type of meeting.

How funny that they didn't realize their blasphemy and the well known skepticism of Mark Twain.

I'd reconsider wadr, they knew ok

It's a true quote and it worked wonders for me. It took a long time but it worked.

That's so true. I never cared for it.

True!

Unless you're a murderous psychopath. Then it might strengthen your belief as it gives permission to do a lot of terrible things.

This is why so many believers are horrible people (Republicans). If the horrific acts in their books don't turn them off eventually, they're not good people to begin with. It goes beyond indoctrination.

That is pretty funny ... you can read two opposite meanings in the quote.

Yeah, they don't understand the meaning of the quote they just saw read the Bible, Mark Twain
