I did not watch the Orange-thing last night. I watched a bit of what went on in Washington. It all seemed to be so empty; aimed at 'good-ol'' Trump supporters. There was no depth to it. At Kennedy's inauguration Robert Frost read from some of his work. In the late '30s Eleanor Roosevelt was instrumental in having Marian Anderson sing. There could have been music from Aaron Copeland and his Appellation Spring- that is just naming one of the hundreds of fine American composers.

You missed a hell of a show.

He spoke like a child who did his history homework the night before...at one point, when the plane flew in low, I had a spark of hope that it was headed straight to the podium...but alas, too many innocent people standing around the orange thing...maybe next time...

I did not watch any of it. I did find it interesting that cameras on the mall were taken down once it became apparent there were not going to be the expected crowds. I'm waiting for the doctored photos & 🐂💩 reports of record crowds.

There is no doubt that Trump will yodel out of 'his gob' about his latest success. He has something, that is unique in the UNIVERSE, a mouth where both shit and gibberish comes out.

@Diogenes I have always been politically active & aware & I can say, without a shadow of a doubt, I have never felt this level of disgust, mortified embarrassed, & rabid determination to encourage political change in my entire life. Every time I hear his smug, slurred fallacious commentary, my radio gets the single finger salute & I tend to voice my opinion utilizing a wide range of adult vocabulary.

@SallyInStitches I think- occasionally, even though it causes great pain. But I do know a few expletives, other than the four-lettered ones. And Trump is a moron- he is not capable of pretending to be stupid. His unending mierda just keeps bubbling out; he has no control over his mouth.

It was great! - very inspiring. Trump highlighted some of the great accomplishments of Americans, great music, and flyovers.

No. I read what I could find about it but I cannot listen to the orange ape. And that's an insult to apes.

I didn't watch it either. It's all about him, no matter where he goes or what he does. An uneducated, ignorant narcissistic puppet.

Yep! ... and you are being nice.

@Diogenes You Canadians need to focus on getting rid of that idiot Trudeau and quit worrying about our leaders here in the US.

@Trajan61 ,
you're right we should replace that idiot Trudeau with the other idiot Scheer.
yes, that would be progress..

I watched PBS and it was a fantastic program. Lots of good performances and fireworks. No way was I going to put that orange anus on my TV.

I watched PBS as well....seeing the true patriots of diversity was inspiring and hopeful...loved that they did songs from legends...John Stamos was a great host and seeing Carole King was great...can't wait to see Beautiful...

@altschmerz I know! That was so dang cute! I loved them.
