Mother Natures work. I just shaped it.

@PondartIncbendog there is an element of talent in being able to recognize the natural beauty and then knowing how to enhance it.

@Deb57 Actually, part of the bowl flew off and hit me in the mouth.......so I made it the mouth.

Exquisite

That takes some doing, to keep the natural edges intact need a good touch, well done.

And when you get your finishing cloth caught in the edges, its a real blast.

BTW, a little secret,,,,,,,shssss,,,,,,,a propane torch gets very hot.

Seems like a great hobby for you Bob?

Beautiful! What kind of wood did you use?

I found a Maple tree downed four years ago. This has been ageing since.

What kind of trees are you around normally?

@PondartIncbendog

Aspen, Douglas fir, cedar and other evergreens.

Washington is the Evergreen State.

@LiterateHiker Yeah. Bring me a tree if you find one downed?

Nice work.

Looking for woodworking tools, by chance? I need to get rid of a few tons

Bigger lathe, tools, etc?

@PondartIncbendog think the lathe might be spoken for, may have another, though.

Lots of tools, hand and power - my now Alzheimery step dad has been a woodworker since the 70's and is a bit of a hoarder to boot. He used to buy garages at estate sales. sigh

Also have some seasoned wood.
