Sure we can "believe" what ever we want. Problem is no guarantee it's real/ true.

People can believe anything:

The Earth is flat.

Bloodletting heals yellow fever, tuberculosis, smallpox and other diseases.

President Obama is a Muslim.

Noah's Ark.

The Rapture.

Vaccines cause autism.

Yup if people can believe in trump they can believe anything

It’s entirely possible for the human mind to believe absolutely anything....as witnessed by some of the crazies who believe in conspiracy theories, alien landings and that the earth is flat. Evidence is the one thing that is lacking in all of these cases, as it is with a belief in a god or gods. My own belief is that there is no answer to the unknowable and anything else is pure conjecture.

I don’t know, because what it would take for me to do that is the total ignoring of everything I’ve learned, witnessed or experienced to date.

One can believe in anything. Proof is always the thing that remains elusive.
