"Send them back" is an old white supremacist chant that those of "pure blood" came up with back in Hitlers days and it was used at rallies before a "final solution" was arrived at. People fail to mention this and I wonder why. It shows exactly what we are dealing with and was a dog whistle to Trump's base. BTW, Trump does not have all this power. He wants us to think he does and he will keep on trying until one day he has all the power. This is exactly why he must be stopped now.

Well, that "lock her up" crap kind of boomeranged, so we can hope this does too.

This latest mantra is just another meaningless soundbite..same as “make America great again” and “lock her up”. It’s a very old device used by dictators and demagogues to rabble rouse, and get the masses behind them. You are correct to mention the connection to religion because it’s the same method used when reciting passages from holy books such as the bible or koran, when the priest chants and the congregation responds en mass. It becomes meaningless as no thought process is needed when repeating by rote, but it has the effect of bonding those who chant closer to each other and the leader.

Not all of the US follow blindly, the level of education in our public schools has been eroded over the past 40 years that to me is where the power you speak of developed.
