All acceptable . . . . when science can actually prove it. Just like the man in the sky notion. Granted, my instincts say you are right, but who can actually prove it beyond the shadow of a doubt?

Astrophysicists tend to disagree with both of those statements. And geologists are pretty certain the earth is no older than 4.6 billion years.

Not as profound or insightful as Cato but what can I say. Pompeii was the Las Vegas of it's time, party city. Whole section of town devoted to prostitution, had a lot of writing on those walls too-observing that and the ultimate destruction of the city maybe the writing was more prescient than the writer intended.
