By that point in time, I'd been talking to people online for about 23 years. I'd met some in person. I knew, and to an extent understood, the games some will play. So, how is it I rationalized away the negative signs. I looked back a few dys ago, to find the first day she had my phone number, she bombed me with 300-400 texts that day! WTH? There were other signs, if not when we met in person, then in our online conversations. But, rationalzed it away: she's (this many) years old; she's (this level of education), she works in (this) field. Certainly someone with these characteristics wouldn't be one way to play games, would she? But, apparently, she was.
Chalk it up to "lesson learned". You dodged a ride on the crazy train. It sucks, but some people are just plain dishonest. It is easy to project expectations onto others....you expect others to be honest, sane, nice... but that is not always true in reality.
Ummm, more than a couple texts (reciprocal ones!) a day is a Huge red flag, but the main question, is why did you not RUN?
This says a lot more about you than anybody else.......
@LimitedLight ummm, allowing yourself to be manipulated does Not make you a "victim", which denigrates all True victims
@LimitedLight I don't do "calculus", but I think you mean YOUR "calculations"...? And what exactly are all the following numbers? Is there a limit on posts and/or replies on here? Set by whom, when...you?
So, how is it I rationalized away the negative signs
My guess is its because you were getting laid.
@LimitedLight the only other option is you were being an idiot for not paying attention.
Your choice in how you want to look at it. Sorry.
