I don't see this as a slippery slope if it is something that every candidate has done for years and about everybody but Trump would support. I'm sure Republicans would support it at any other time but now.

Trump did not win California and New York in 2016 and still became president.
I wonder if California's Trumpsters could write in Trump's name.
