Went to a high school reunion this past weekend and they prayed 4 times. And I used to think I had so much in common with them. Alas.

Try writing a non-confrontational letter to the organizers, pointing out how exclusionary they were.....too late for your reunion, sadly, but maybe somebody will be encouraged to actually Think?

Maybe they are thanking powerful goodness that they are all still alive. It is sickening! I find it strange that modern believers do not understand the reason for prayers over food today. Praying over your food all started in a time without refrigeration. All food was not freshly prepared.

You may have had a lot in common back then but unless you have been friends with them long term, you probably don't have much in common years later. I have never been to any reunions and I was pretty popular and well liked by everyone in high school. A few years ago I decided to reconnect with people from those years on FB and found very few who didn't change for the worse. Most have become their parents and I don't mean that in a good way.
