The Civil War has started! 20 dead in Texas yesterday. 9 dead today in Ohio. That is more people shot in two days than usually die from gunshots in a year in most developed countries. It is only going to get worse, and putting the brakes on in a country with more guns than people is going to be a Herculean task if not impossible. The Far Right Religious extremists, with the election of Trump, have achieved their political goals, or at least as far as they can go through democratic means. As the president and Senate load up the courts with religious flunkies, the move now is to destabilize the country to allow their puppet governments to use drastic measures to supposedly stop these rogue gunmen. They will use this to delay elections, subvert normal rules of law and go after enemies of the church, rather than the Radical Right groups that are actually encouraging the shooting.
Anyone with doubts of the agenda for the Far Right Christians, I urge you to read "American Fascists" by Chris Hedges. What we are experiencing right now has been planned and executed for at least the last 50 years, is well funded, ruthless in it's leadership and extremely well organized. And has no fear of the government, since they work under the Freedom of Religion clause of the Constitution. They have no financial oversight, are very cautious who gets into their top tier, and will not stop until the United States becomes a theocracy as dominated by these Christian leaders as Iran, Israel or other Middle Eastern countries are by their religious leaders.
As Atheists, non-believers and Liberals, we stand in their way and they will not let that stop their plans. Using ICE to round up immigrants is just practice for what will be coming soon if we don't keep our small hold on democracy as we know it.
