It’s Market Communism, as ‘ours is’ Cut-throat Capitalism. What we need is in the middle, it’s called Socialism.
The hive mentality appears impressive, until it collapses. And the ‘rugged individualist’ looks impressive ...until the resources are depleted. My bet’s on those fluid, humanistic coalitions that balance need with resources and can weather the storms ~
