How can people combat hate? They could hate back and it only results in more hate. It can seem very discouraging. That makes this a very encouraging video. It is reassuring to know that one can combat hate with listening and compassion.

I can tolerate anything that doesn't harm or exploit people. Anything that does either should be destroyed.

The part of only reach the other side to attack and attack even your own side if they have the minimum doubt or self criticism is how religions, politics and everything else is being directed to work now.

and... Religion is always tolerant, until it becomes majority, even if it is a local majority created artificially by isolating part of society.

Videos like this are sorely needed on this website. It takes effort, restraint, and a true understanding of the benefits of rational discussion, setting aside the emotions, and actually listening with an intent to understand.

I will add this: that in saying it can be a good thing to discuss things rationally, civilly and with emotions set aside, I do not mean setting aside one's beliefs, values, or convictions. An effort to understand does not imply acceptance or agreement with the other person's beliefs or views. And I'm also not saying we should try to be emotionless and "polite" all the time either. I don't have any problem with anybody criticizing Christianity or any other religion.

TBH, I don't tolerate religions, I am tolerant of religious people, but not the religion itself.

What I would like to know is that is here about the psychological makeup of this young women and that of the pwople who remained with the bigotry of the Westboro group.
