Getting ready to read The 1619 Project on slavery in America.
I have used the term 'plantation mentality' for years. From a business stand point one wants to produce the most product, or grow the biggest crop at the least possible expense. Doing what ever it took to justify owning another human being is very sad. Civilizations from the past have enslaved others and it is well documented, seems to be the nature of tribes. Personally I loath the mentality of the white ruling elite that did whatever they could to justify slavery.
It starts but won't let me read it. They want me to subscribe.
I give them $16 a month for online access. It comes with alerts if you want them.
